Do you look after your emotional hygiene?

We’re familiar with personal hygiene, such as washing and brushing our teeth, but how often do we attend to our emotional hygiene?

This popular TED talk by Guy Winch looks at how we can “close the gap between our physical and emotional health.” He explains how a reduction in self-esteem makes us more vulnerable to stress, anxiety and rejection, but also impacts significantly on our physical health.

Guy offers some useful tips on how to manage negative thinking and he also advises a strong dose of self-compassion.
